Pokemon Soul Silver Buy Uk
to be skeptical, frankly, is never wrong. In fact, almost never. This is the case of Umbrella Academy, a mini comic of six numbers, drawn by rising Brazilian Gabriel Ba . So far there is nothing wrong with that. Except that the texts are Gerard Way: A name that will be the most anonymous: in fact this name is more known in another context, the musical. Way is in fact the lead singer of My Chemical Romance, teen-emo-pop band, one of those groups that "no, that we are different, we are rebels, in fact, rebelled, we distinguish ourselves from the crowd with our hair pirzing plates and in the mouth all the same, leave us alone and let us live our emotions freely. " When I found myself in front of library in this volume, published in Italy by Magic Press , there I was immediately attracted to the designs of Ba convincing, reminiscent of the early Mignola, and for a premise narrative certainly does not shine for its originality but at the same time insinuates a good deal of curiosity in the reader. It is astonishing to read the back cover that this series, in 2008, won an Eisner Award for best limited series: the worm that I am not in front of a mere marketing operation to sell to the hordes of young tapes plate, now came into my head. And fortunately, the worm was right.
The opening sequence starts with an atomic flying elbow during a wrestling match space and then go and get a few pages later that day when the Eiffel Tower goes crazy, and discovering that the zombirobot Gustav Eiffel is controlled by the 'procedure. There is little to say or complain, the lead singer of My Chemical Romance and a gentleman writer: I would not have bet a single euro, and yet we are faced with a work funny, relentless, ironic and sometimes obscure. The series offers great entertainment features having fun and never take (too) seriously: the joints are articulated in an intelligent narrative, and there are even ideas and thoughts on the great themes of life (and death). Forty-seven women give birth without any warning, the children: of these, seven are found together under one roof and raised by his father Lord Hargreeves master, with a single purpose, namely to save the world. Who and what no one knows exactly but the seven children with superpowers in the course of their lives will be confronted with the outside world and especially with the inner world and that of their family. On the death of their father / mentor Hargreeves children, now become men and women, their focus several who have moved away, divided. But life teaches us that one can escape from everything and everyone, even by themselves, but never from his family here so that players will face a tough face to face, each with its ghosts and its life to tell. The story of any family is made up of respect, love, rivalry and hatred and sometimes indifferent and that of The Apocalypse Suite is no exception. We are still far from creating a work that will remain etched in memory of the comic, it is still a debut that can only reveal its most bitter, but with this miniseries are laying the foundation for what could be one of most original and entertaining writers of tomorrow. The death, relations between members of a very extended family, fate, are the themes that hold the mini-series, the slopes dirty and very little saturated colors help set the script to permeate the atmosphere of subtle sense of irony darkness: a bitter sense of humor, yet very cool and essential, it is told with the lightness of a violin note. I admit that perhaps the initial low expectations has contributed to a greater enthusiasm after, but overall, the Apocalypse Suite, is a great comic, well written and well designed and fun convincing: if Way were to return to the ninth art, and I sincerely hope that the hurry up, I'll undoubtedly one of his fans. Unless I'm not saying that I will have to grow a large sprig jet black plate, or planting a pierced tongue, because then yes, that really could be the announcement of an Apocalypse.
